At Advanced Marine, we take pride in our active involvement with the Commercial Diving Association Singapore (CDAS), supporting its mission to enhance safety, professionalism, and collaboration in the commercial diving industry. On October 8th, we were honored to sponsor the CDAS Diving Seminar, which provided a valuable platform for industry professionals to share knowledge and insights.
The seminar featured an impactful session by Derek Beddows and Lewis Beddows, who shared their personal experiences with decompression illness (DCI). Their accounts emphasized the importance of safety measures, rigorous training, and immediate medical intervention, sparking meaningful discussions on improving diver welfare and operational standards.
Bill Jordan, our General Manager/Director and Vice Chairman of CDAS, attended the event, supporting CDAS’s efforts under the leadership of Alexis Chee, the Chairman of CDAS. CDAS continues to play a key role in advancing the commercial diving industry through initiatives such as the Underwater Ship Husbandry Seminar and the Safety Time Out, aimed at reinforcing workplace safety and fostering collaboration across the sector.
Through training programs, seminars, and advocacy for best practices, CDAS has established itself as a cornerstone of the industry. Advanced Marine is proud to contribute to these initiatives, reinforcing our shared commitment to a safer and more professional commercial diving community.
